Takács Quartet

Recognized as one of the world’s great ensembles, the Takács Quartet’s unique blend of drama, warmth, and humor brings fresh insights to the string quartet repertoire. In this return engagement with us, the group will demonstrate that with an all-Beethoven program that includes the magnificent Quartet in C-Sharp minor, Op. 131, considered by many musicians and listeners alike to be the greatest string quartet ever written.
Performance includes:
Beethoven: String Quartet in F major, Op.18, No.1
Beethoven: String Quartet in E-flat major(“The Harp”), Op.74
Beethoven: String Quartet in C-sharp minor, Op.131
After the concert, come meet Takács first violinist Edward Dusinberre. He will be signing copies of his new book, "Beethoven for a Later Age: Living with the String Quartets", which will be available for purchase for $30 by cash or credit card.
