St. Lawrence String Quartet

The St. Lawrence String Quartet with Ann-Marie McDermott, piano
 
Originally from Canada and now in residence at Stanford University, the SLSQ has “precision, warmth, and an electricity that conveys the excitement of playing whatever is on their stands at the moment” (New York Times). The ensemble returns to our roster with a program that includes
string quartets by Haydn and Mendelssohn, and a piano quintet by Dvořák.
 
Performance includes:
Josef Haydn:  String Quartet in E-Flat Major, Op. 33, No. 2 (‘Joke”)
Felix Mendelssohn:  String Quartet in E-Flat Major, Op. 44, No. 2
Antonín Dvořák: Quintet in A Major for piano and strings, Op. 81
